Alright, that’s enough Fantasia for one day…

Now I’m going to go and start working on the CJLO DJ schedule. This year, as with the past 5 years, CJLO will provide DJs who will spin live between films in the Hall theatre. We’re at the back, all the way up by the projection booth, so come say hi! if you like what we’re playing.

Also, don’t miss the party this Friday at Terrasse St Ambroise… it’s the official Fantasia program launch at the McAuslan brewery by the Lachine Canal. CJLO is bringing the tunes, and the trailers will be projected on the side of a truck with the spooky backdrop of a nearby abandoned factory. There will be BBQ and delicious McAuslan beers available (I’m hoping they’ll have their new seasonal raspberry available!), and you can pick up your program, DVD and tshirts that night! Everything starts at 8, and the party will be held indoors next door at the Centre St.Ambroise in case of rain.

Things I did this week:

- Had six different kinds of poutine from La Banquise.

- Caught most of the finale of the fireworks festival.

- Wandered up to the Montréal lookout.

- Had an amazing beer-based lunch in Chambly, QC.

- Visited the spawning grounds of Québec’s only indigenous fish species.

- Relaxed at Terrasse St. Ambroise in honor of Québec Beer Day.

- Celebrated another Sunday with Green Spot breakfast.

- Enjoyed Strawberry & Pepper sorbet.

- Tried Unibroue’s blackcurrant Éphemère and liked it.

- Hit up the Atwater market not once, but twice.

- Had Montréal’s best pizza at Romeo.

- Hosted my first BBQ in our new place.

- Mixed up a big batch of lemonade ice tea.

- Realized that I derive most of my enjoyment from food-based activities.
