evidence of my lame yuppie side on my (gasp!) house blog here.

Giddyup! Just bought tickets to Donald Glover and Jamie Kilstein at Zoofest. Can’t wait. Here are the writeups:

Star of NBC’s Community Donald Glover is doing a stand-up show that he thinks is probably too gross for a lot of people. But, there’s only one way to know if it is. So here we go…
Stand-up comic Jamie Kilstein’s new hour-long rant about everything evil. Come see him criticize the war, American imperialism, defend gay rights, and talk about every other subject that has kept him off American television, forced him to sleep in his car, and locate gigs in remote parts of the world in order to buy luxuries, like food.

Tickets are CHEAP (1 show for 15$, 2 shows for 20$), venues are interesting (Katacombes?!) and there are tons of comics on offer. Still thinking about going to see Patrice O’Neal & Bill Burr as well.

dig on (industrial and/or punk) music?

Tune in to Grade A Explosives RIGHT NOW on CJLO 1690 AM / cjlo.com… it’s an all-industrial special, including an interview with Gen from the Genitorturers!

Also, don’t forget, CJLO punk night is tonight at Katacombes. I’m djing late this time (1-2 am), but I’ll be there earlier for drinks and hangouts.

Catch me again tomorrow morning as I help cohost the CJLO morning show with CJLO’s man on the inside, Karl Knox. I’ll be there as early as possible, which, for the mathematically inclined, means roughly 4 hours of sleep for me tonight… Talkin’ politics and philosophy when sleep deprived? Hell yeah, bring it on. I should be even less filtered than usual.
