The Hookers - Behold God’s Candy
from Black Visions of Crimson Wisdom

This is one of my all time favorite songs. Fronted by Adam Neal (who drummed with Nine Pound Hammer, and went on to form the earliest incarnation of Nashville Pussy with NPH member Blaine Cartwright), the Hookers are still active, and released a 7” I have yet to hear at the end of 2009. Maybe they’ll tour? A girl can wish.

CJLO Punk Night: June 2010 playlist

Here’s what you missed, sucker:

The Dictators - Faster & Louder
The Vibrators - Whips & Furs
Fucked Up - Vivian Girls
The Stooges - T.V. Eye
The Daggers - You’re So Pretty
Motörhead - I’m So Bad (Baby I Don’t Care)
Nashville Pussy - Piece of Ass
Chainsaw Hookers - Ride The Venom
Chainsaw Hookers - Nazi Werewolf
Chainsaw Hookers - Christine
Chainsaw Hookers - Black Christmas
Chainsaw Hookers - Death Curse

In case you were wondering, yes, I did interrupt my set halfway to play all of First Blood by the Chainsaw Hookers. I figured the powers that be wouldn’t take too kindly to me playing it over and over, so this was a healthy compromise.
